- Michael is an active member of the prestigious US Customs & Border Protection “Trade Support Network” and is on both the Customs Committee and Subcommittee on Drawback.
- He is also a co-chair of the National Customs Brokers & Forwarders of America (NCBFAA) Drawback Committee.
- Michael is active on the Drawback Committee of the American Association of Exporters and Importers (AAEI).
- Michael is a frequent contributing author to IOMA's Report of Managing Imports and Exports on topics such as the Automated Export System and drawback.
- He is also a frequent lecturer on issues including Focused Assessments, Customs’ ACE program, duty savings opportunities and programs, C-TPAT, and drawback for groups including The Customs Lawyers Association in Washington, D.C., AAEI, NCBFAA, NEXCO, and trade and business/industry associations located in numerous states.
- Michael is a member of the ABA, the NYSBA and the Customs and International Trade Bar Association.
